Movement takes different forms
Plants respond to their surroundings through growth and, in some cases, much faster changes. The folding leaflets of a sensitive plant and the closing trap of a Venus flytrap are two striking places to start.
Begin with what you can see
Record the stimulus and the response separately. A change in leaflet position is an observation. A claim about why that response evolved is an explanation that needs additional evidence.
Read the mechanism
Kew describes sensitive-plant folding in terms of water moving within tissues. Flytraps use specialised leaves and trigger hairs. Their visible movements invite comparison, but the structures and mechanisms should not be treated as identical.
